Logo Design That People Recognize Before They Read Your Name.
Your logo is often the first visual signal people associate with your business.
It appears on your website, signs, business cards, social profiles, uniforms, proposals, packaging, ads, vehicles, emails, and every place your brand shows up.
At Fivenson Studios, we design logos that help businesses create recognition, build trust, and show up with a more professional, consistent identity.
What You Get
A logo system, not one file. Primary and secondary logo versions, an icon version, color variants plus a single-color version, light and dark backgrounds, prepared print and web files, and written usage guidance.
Who It Is For
New businesses, growing companies, rebrands, product brands, local service businesses, professional practices, restaurants and retail, and nonprofits across Michigan and nationwide.
Cost & Timeline
Every logo project is unique, so pricing is built around what you actually need, typically several hundred to several thousand dollars. The biggest factor is how much strategy is involved: starting from scratch is a different project than replacing a logo already on trucks, signage, and packaging. You get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts.

Your logo is more than a graphic.
Recognized instantly, at any size, without reading a word.
Read and understood only after the logo has already been seen.
A logo is not just something placed at the top of a website or printed on a business card. It is one of the most repeated visual elements in your business.
People see it before they read your message. They notice it before they understand your offer. They associate it with your quality, professionalism, reputation, and customer experience.
That is why logo design matters. A strong logo helps your business feel recognizable, credible, and intentional. A weak logo can make even a good business feel unclear, inconsistent, or forgettable.
The goal is not simply to make something look nice. The goal is to create a visual mark that supports how people remember and trust your business.
A strong logo does not carry the entire brand, but it gives people something to recognize.
Most logos are designed as one-off graphics, not brand foundations.
Many businesses have a logo, but not a logo system. One file, one version, one mark that only works in certain places. It may look fine in one setting and fall apart on signs, social media, embroidery, dark backgrounds, small screens, print, or ads. That creates inconsistency. Inconsistency makes recognition harder.
A logo should be built to work wherever the business shows up.
Recognize any of those six on your own logo?
Send us the file. We will tell you honestly whether it needs a refresh or a rebuild.
The logo system behind a more recognizable brand.
A professional logo should do more than exist as one image. It should become part of a larger identity system that helps people recognize your business across channels, formats, and moments. That means designing for flexibility.
A defined margin on all four sides keeps the mark from being crowded by other elements. Written into the guidelines so vendors and staff apply it the same way.
If the logo stops reading clearly at the small end, it needs a simplified icon version. That is something we build into the design from the start, not something bolted on later.
Is your logo missing the versions you actually need?
Tell us where your logo has to appear, and we will show you which versions your business is missing.
Businesses people remember win more trust.
People are more likely to trust businesses that feel familiar, and familiarity is built through repetition. When your logo, colors, typography, messaging, and visuals show up consistently, customers begin to recognize your brand faster.
They remember seeing you. They connect your business to a category. They begin to associate your identity with the quality of your work.
Logo design creates that first point of recognition. It gives your brand a visual anchor. The more consistently that anchor appears, the easier it becomes for people to remember who you are.
Recognition does not happen from one impression. It compounds over time through consistent branding.
A strong logo is clear, usable, distinct, and built to last.
A good logo should feel intentional. It should reflect the business, work across applications, and stay usable as the company grows. It does not need to explain everything you do. It needs to be clear, memorable, and flexible enough to support the brand over time.

The logo should be easy to understand and recognize without unnecessary complexity.

The logo should help the business feel different from competitors and avoid blending into the market.

Appropriate

Are you ready for a logo that works everywhere?
Most businesses find out they needed more versions the first time a printer or vendor asks for a file they do not have.
Your logo is one block in a larger brand system.
A logo is important, but it is not the entire brand. Your brand also includes your message, voice, colors, typography, photography, website, customer experience, marketing materials, and the way people feel when they interact with your business.
- The logo creates recognition.
- The brand identity creates consistency.
- The messaging creates clarity.
- The website creates trust.
- The marketing creates attention.
Together, those pieces shape how people remember and choose your business. The logo is the starting point. The brand system is what makes it work everywhere.
Every strong logo starts with understanding.
The best logos do not come from random ideas. They come from understanding the business. Before we design, we look at who you are, what you offer, who you serve, how you want to be perceived, what your competitors look like, and where the logo needs to be used.
That strategy gives the design direction. Then we explore concepts, refine the strongest options, test usability, prepare final files, and help you apply the logo consistently. A logo should not just look good in a presentation. It should work in the real world.
How we design logos that support recognition.

Define The Direction
We clarify the visual tone, brand personality, design goals, and practical requirements.
Explore Concepts
We create logo directions that translate strategy into visual identity.
Refine The Strongest Option
We improve proportion, typography, spacing, color, shape, legibility, and application.
Build The Logo System
We prepare the variations needed for different backgrounds, formats, and real-world uses.
Deliver The Files
We organize the logo files for print, digital, web, vendors, and internal use.
Guide The Brand
We provide usage direction so the logo can be applied consistently across future materials.
Ready for a logo that becomes the foundation of your brand?
We start by understanding your business, not by opening a design file.
Your logo should work everywhere your business shows up.
A logo does not live in one place. A mark that looks good on a white screen may not work on a dark background, a sign, a uniform, a social profile, a proposal, or a small browser tab. That is why logo design needs to account for real-world use.
Website
Your logo should work clearly in headers, footers, favicons, mobile menus, and landing pages.
Social Media
Your logo should have a profile-friendly version that remains recognizable in small circular or square spaces.
Print Materials
Your logo should work across business cards, brochures, folders, postcards, flyers, and stationery.
Signage
Your logo should remain readable on storefronts, banners, vehicles, trade show displays, and large-format materials.
Apparel
Your logo should be simple and flexible enough for embroidery, screen printing, uniforms, and merchandise.
Digital Ads
Your logo should support recognition in campaigns, display ads, social graphics, and video assets.
Packaging
Your logo should work on labels, boxes, bags, inserts, product tags, and shipping materials.
Proposals & Documents
Your logo should help make business documents feel professional, branded, and consistent.
Sometimes the right move is evolution, not a total reset.
Not every business needs a completely new logo. Sometimes an existing logo has recognition, history, or customer familiarity worth protecting. In those cases, a refresh is the smarter choice.
Logo Refresh
Best when the business has existing recognition and wants to modernize without losing familiarity.
New Logo Design
Best when the current identity no longer fits the business, audience, direction, or market.
Brand Identity Expansion
Best when the logo exists, but the business needs a complete system around it.
A logo refresh can improve readability, spacing, color, typography, usability, and professionalism while keeping the core identity familiar.
A full redesign may be better when the current logo no longer reflects the business, feels outdated, causes confusion, or cannot support where the brand is going next.
The goal is not change for the sake of change. The goal is better recognition, stronger trust, and a more useful identity.
We design logos clients can actually use.
A logo is not finished when it looks good on one screen. It is finished when the client can use it confidently. The files are organized. The versions are clear. The formats make sense. The colors are defined. The usage rules are simple.
Strategy
We connect the design to the business, audience, market, and long-term brand goals.
Usability
We make sure the logo works across real-world applications, not just a design mockup.
Ownership
You receive the logo files and assets needed to use your identity confidently.
Clarity
We organize deliverables so your team knows which file to use and when.
Consistency
We help create the foundation for a more recognizable and professional brand.
We do not hand over a single image and call it a brand. We build logo systems that help businesses show up consistently and professionally.
What you receive from a logo design project.
Every project is different, but a professional logo project should give your business the files, variations, and guidance needed to use the logo correctly.

The timeline depends on the scope, number of concepts, revisions, brand strategy needs, and supporting deliverables. After learning more about your project, we can provide a clearer timeline.
Logo projects generally run from several hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on scope. The biggest factor is how much strategy the project needs, and that depends on where you are starting. If you are just starting out, the strategy work is about deciding what your logo should say about your business for the first time, with nothing already in market to work around. If you have been running for years and your logo is already on vehicles, signage, uniforms, packaging, and print, the work is different: you have recognition customers already know, so we account for what that logo is worth today and plan how any change rolls out across everything already out there. Pricing also reflects the number of concepts, revisions, logo versions, brand guidelines, and supporting identity materials included.
Yes. Once the project is completed according to the agreement, you own the approved logo assets and final deliverables.
Yes. We can expand the logo into a full brand identity system that includes colors, typography, messaging, visual style, stationery, marketing materials, website design, and brand guidelines.
We do not design logos as isolated graphics. We design logo systems that help businesses create recognition, consistency, trust, and a stronger visual foundation for growth.
A logo mark is the symbol or icon part of a logo, separate from your business name. Many businesses use a mark next to their name, then use the mark on its own wherever space is tight, such as a social profile picture, an app icon, or a browser tab. A mark only works alone once people have seen it enough times to connect it to you, which is why it is built alongside the full logo rather than instead of it.
A wordmark is a logo made from your business name itself, set in custom or carefully chosen lettering, with no separate symbol. Wordmarks work well when the name is distinctive and you want people to learn to recognize the name on sight. Many businesses use a wordmark as the primary logo and add an icon version for small spaces.
A lockup is a fixed arrangement of your logo pieces, usually the mark and the business name, with the spacing and proportions set so nobody rearranges or restretches them. Most businesses need at least two: a horizontal lockup for wide spaces like a website header, and a stacked lockup for square or narrow spaces like a social profile or a sign.
A favicon is the small icon that appears in a browser tab, in a bookmark list, and sometimes beside your site in search results. It renders at roughly 16 to 32 pixels, far too small for a full logo with a name to stay readable. That is why a simplified icon version of your logo is part of a complete logo system.
A vector file stores your logo as mathematical shapes instead of pixels, so it can be scaled to any size without becoming blurry or jagged. The same file works on a business card and on a building sign. AI, EPS, SVG, and PDF are common vector formats. JPG and PNG are pixel based and degrade when enlarged, so you should always keep the vector originals.
A logo designed for a white background can disappear or look muddy on a dark one. Light and dark versions keep the logo legible wherever it lands, including a dark website footer, a photo background, a black shirt, or a printed piece with a colored background.
A one-color version is a single ink version of your logo, usually solid black or solid white. It is what production methods require when they cannot reproduce full color, including embroidery on uniforms, engraving, stamps, some screen printing, and photocopied or faxed documents.
Clear space is the minimum empty margin that must stay around your logo so nothing crowds it. It is defined in brand guidelines as a measurement tied to part of the logo itself, so the margin scales correctly whether the logo appears on a business card or a billboard.
A logo is one design. A logo system is the full set built around it: primary and secondary lockups, an icon-only mark, color and single-color versions, light and dark versions, and the file formats each use requires. One file eventually fails somewhere, usually the first time a printer, a platform, or a sign shop asks for something you do not have.
Trademarking is optional and separate from design. Owning your logo files and holding a registered trademark are two different things. If legal protection matters for your business, speak with a trademark attorney. We are designers rather than attorneys, but we can provide the files and design documentation an attorney will typically ask for.
